Physio-Control Lifepak CR2 Electrodes

The CR2 electrodes can be pre-connected to the Lifepak CR2 defibrillator, saving valuable time during a deployment. When the lid of the AED is opened, the electrodes are immediately available. The electrodes can be used on children as well as adults, by pressing the child buttong on the defibrillator.

Shelf life of the Lifepak CR2 defibrillation electrodes

The shelf-life of the electrodes is ca. 4 years and are for one-time use only. Once the electrodes reach their expiry date, they must be replaced. The conductive layer of gel dries out over time, or if the packaging has been opened, therefore electrode pads that have exceed their expiry date may not adhere to the patient in the event of an emergency, meaning that the AED will not issue a shock.
